Editor
Gail Ravgiala joined Design New England as editor in November 2007. She had been the home design editor for the Sunday Boston Globe Magazine, where she edited and produced the six-times-a-year Your Home issues. Her magazine experience began in 1990 when she was named content editor for the Globe's Your Home, Your Health, Travel, and Fashion magazines. "Design New England’s editorial goal,” she says, “is to bring to our readers the best in design, while introducing them to the professionals behind these splendid homes and gardens.” She lives in a neighborhood of 19th-century Victorian homes in Boston, where she nurtures her appreciation of architecture and solid building techniques.

Art director
Jenna Talbott developed the look of Design New England with former creative director Lucy Bartholomay, and most recently completed a redesign for the 2010 issues. Trained in studio art, Jenna brings 10 years experience in magazine design. Her portfolio includes work at consumer titles within the Phoenix Media Group and business-to-business publishers, such as International Data Group and The Economist Group. In her spare time, she works on painting commissions and greeting card designs. Originally from Vermont, she and her husband live in Boston, where they slowly but surely make improvements to their 100-year-old home.

Associate Editor
Danielle Ossher is ecstatic to rejoin Design New England as associate editor. A former editorial intern, she relishes indulging a long-time curiosity of stunning homes and landscapes she honed while growing up in Westchester County, New York. With a degree in journalism from Northeastern University, her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe and Fashion Boston. She lived on a dirt road in the woods before moving to Boston, and now ventures out in search of New England’s quintessential charm every chance she gets.
